Wedding Rings

The wedding ring has taken on many different designs throughout the ages and is worn in a variety of ways across the globe. Most people in the United States, France and Canada wear their wedding and engagement rings on their left hand. But in plenty of other countries, including Germany, Poland, India and Norway, brides wear their engagement rings and wedding bands on the right hand instead. The earliest mention of wedding bands dates back more than 5,000 years to Egypt, where Ancient Egyptian couples would weave hemp around their fingers to show that they were married. Today, wearing wedding rings and engagement rings continues to be the norm. I love photographing rings that's why it is important to me to arrive early on the wedding day to allow enough time to photograph all the little details! #raleighweddingphotograher
